Okay I love the “I’m vaccinated and ready to party this summer” attitude, but do yous realize you can still transmit the virus to people who are not vaccinated. The vaccine aims to prevent severe symptoms and death, it does not stop transmission. Even if youre vaccinated, you can still catch covid—your case will just be mild or asymptomatic, and you can get other people sick, who may be hospitalized or die if they’re not fully vaccinated. So chill out, keep wearing your masks and social distancing. If you don’t want to cause you’re bored or lonely—SUCK. IT. UP.
This is literally not true stop it. I am 100% for encouraging people to be on the safe side but I’m not gonna stand for misinformation from either side.
That being said, people absolutely should continue to follow regulations and guidelines. The CDC guidelines for people who have been fully vaccinated (aka 2 weeks past your last dose) can be found here. Notice that fully vaccinated people are allowed to do things like visit indoors with other fully vaccinated people (or a single unvaccinated household with low risk) without regard to masks or ventilation, but should still wear masks in public or group settings. So absolutely keep wearing your masks and social distancing. Because that’s what the recommendations say. Not because of lies made up about the vaccine.
